Invest in Tomorrow's Leaders
The Foundation relies on the financial support of hoteliers, hotel companies, food, beverage and equipment manufacturers and distributors; hospitality management educators and non-industry corporate partners.
Through the Illinois Hotel & Lodging Association Educational Foundation's (IHLAEF) Annual Giving Campaign, we can provide much needed support to students who have chosen hospitality as their career of choice through scholarships and support our other industry initiatives:
- To provide the skills based learning program, START, training and certifying entry-level workers in 12 areas of specialty for the lodging industry, designed for workforce development to serve at-risk-youth, dislocated workers, ex-offenders and other targeted clients.
- To provide high school juniors & seniors with classroom learning and real life work experiences to enter the workforce and essential management skills to propel their career path through The Lodging Management Program (LMP) developed by The American Hotel & Lodging Educational Institute.
- To educate and inform hotel managers and employees through continued training and programs so they can better operate their hotels and pursue successful career paths.
